Catherine Breier, our President, is a licensed real estate broker who has been working in real estate property management, planning, and development since 1976. Prior to starting her own company Catherine managed a number of properties of various types throughout Minneapolis and St. Paul, ranging from co-ops on the West Bank to very challenging rental housing in South Minneapolis. She has also provided property management services and assistance to other property management entities, both large and small, on some of the most difficult and diverse housing developments in the Twin Cities.
Catherine has experience with various types of funding programs including Section 8, Tax Credit, and HOME Funds. Catherine maintains strong working relationships with various governmental agencies, including HUD, MHFA, and the MPHA, as well as local municipalities. She has worked with several other property management firms on compliance with low-income housing tax credit requirements, and has taught the Section 42 Compliance class for the Minnesota Multi-Housing Association.
Prior to moving to Minnesota, Catherine served as the Director of Manhattan Planning for the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development. Catherine graduated from New York’s City College with a degree in architecture and from the University of Michigan with a degree in social work.
